Remedies Eddy Montana resurfaces in Asaba

It’s been a while since we’ve seen the Remedies star in such an excited mood.
Last weekend, during the Asaba leg of Star Music Trek, Eddy, who’s KSB’s ex-husband, made a surprise appearance on stage performing one of the Remedies’ era defining hits ‘Sha Ko Mo and others, while going all out to delight screaming fans who rushed to take photos and mini videos of his set.
Eddy’s star has dimmed in recent years, and those close to him say he’s working to make a big come back.
Popularly called Eddy Montana, the singer-songwriter was a star act of the popular nineties group The Remedies - also made up of Tony Tetuila and Eedris Abdulkareem.
The pioneer hip-hop band garnered numerous awards around the country and is still a reference point in the Nigerian pop music industry.

How Nollywood actors fight over money and power

It is almost becoming a familiar tune to hear about fights and disagreements in guilds and associations of actors and movie practitioners. When the disagreements are not about elections, they are about funds. The endless circle of intrigues has affected not only the national bodies but also the state bodies.
At the moment, there are three issues rocking the movie industry and as you can guess, it is about money and power. These fights have escalated into verbal abuse and name-calling.
The most current one is about the N50million cheque that was given to the industry by the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio. Soon after the cheque was given, there began a controversy over who has the right to take custody of the fund.

The Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa might like his music fast paced and energetic but when he talks, he wants you to listen, and listen carefully. So, while trying to explain the finer points of his argument during a live programme at Blaze FM Nnewi , he was rushed off a question one time too many-the artiste wasn't having any part of it!

The Nigerian girl has been behaving badly in recent times in the Big Brother house. Just last night(Saturday) she was being (for lack of a better word to use) 'fingered' by Angelo after the house party on Saturday. So it came as no surprise when her naked pics surfaced online today.

Black face still haunts 2face over African Queen

Idibia and Blackface might have a few issues to sort out with each other. The ‘bone-of-contention’ is nothing new, Blackface is still upset over not being given his due on 2Face’s breakaway hit song, African Queen.”
Blackface insists that he also has a share in the glory and therefore is entitled to whatever revenue 2Face earns from the song.
The 2Face Idibia camp has reacted to the claim by saying “2Face doesn’t owe Blackface anything”. According to a rep for the singer, “African Queen”was produced under the Kennis Music imprint, and as such 2Face cannot personally be held responsible for paying his former group member.
The strain in the relationship between these two became more obvious after 2Face & Annie’s fairytale wedding in Dubai, which Blackface wasn’t invited to. Source (HHW)

"I am madly in love with Cleo" (Exlusive Interview with BBA's Hakeem)

I love Cleo, I’ll wait for her --Hakeem
This year’s Big Brother Africa show tagged “The Chase”, is one of the most followed since the show started. This is probably because of the twists the producers have infused in it. For now, Nigerians in the house are yet to really stand out. One of the ladies men in the show is Hakeem from Zimbabwe and his love for Cleo had been a big topic online. It, however, came as a shock when he was evicted last Sunday. Ironically, he was put up for eviction by Nigeria’s Melvin. Senior correspondent, Hazeez Balogun spoke with Hakeem on phone soon after his eviction.
Did you think you would stay this long in the house?
Yes. Even when I went into the house, I thought I would get to the final. The truth is that I believe in myself a lot and I believe that anything I put my hands into, I will excel. So, I had that belief that I would go farther than I did.

Juliet Ibrahim causes scene at airport

Beautiful Ghanaian actress, Juliet Ibrahim, literally brought activities at the Ghana's International Airport, Accra, to a halt recently, when she was denied entry into the lobby. According to her, she was “embarrassed by airport officials,” when she was denied entry into the plane, as a result of the spike shoes she was wearing. Sources at the airport claimed that she failed to remove the spikes despite that each time she went through the metal detector, the alarm kept going off. She was finally allowed to pass through with her shoes on.

The actress has been fuming over the incident online all week. One of her Twits reads: “What were they thinking - that I could harm a passenger with the shoes while on air?” Neither the actress nor the airport has made any official statement on the matter.

OC Ukeje's secret romance revealed

OC Ukeje is definitely the actor to watch right now. He is getting all the top roles at the moment and his fee has risen to as much as N3million per film. This puts him on the level of Majid Michael and Jim Iyke.
He and Nollywood acts, Linda Ejiofor, Lilian Esoro and Monique Samuel are currently in Iseyin, Oyo State, for the production of a new flick, Secret Room. The film, we gather, is a big budget project and will be going straight to cinema.

Another story sifting out of the remote set is that OC is on set in the company of a lady, whose identity is not known. But sources say they have been together all through the shoot. She goes with him to set and retires with him to the hotel room. Before now, OC had not been linked with any lady.

Is Sheddi Baba runing mad?

We got this from Hazeez Balogun's Blog. My concern about the comedian who is a very good friend of mine started when I saw his Facebook profile which read that he was dead. It was written in second person, so I took it very seriously. I know that as a comedian, he may be trying to play a very expensive joke. But I still thought death was too much to joke about. I decided to call his phone which he did not pick. I left him a message asking why his fb page said he was dead. I was expecting a funny reply like, "Got you"!!! or something like that. But the response I got got me more worried. He sent to me, "Hazeez M̶̲̥̅γ̲̣̣̥ Brother! They can only kill d flesh but not d spirit." I did not even know how to respond to that. I have been trying to reach him since then but he wont respond.
Just today, his brother left this message
"I will like to use dis opportunity to humbly beg and plead to everyone to please ignore all messages pasted by Sheddi Baba. Am the younger brother to Sheddi Baba..I can't really xpose what his going tru right now, but pls put him in prayers and God will bless u..i have read all the message he posted so i have to collect his password and delete all. Thanks and God bless u as u keep praying.!!!"
Now that is scary. I will try and get to his house to know whats going on. meanwhile do pray for him
