The annual January
1st Change-A-Life TV special is coming up once again. This edition is the
valedictory show for His Excellency, Barr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), the
Lagos State Governor, in appreciation for his consistent support for
Change-a-life over for the past 8 years. The show will be hosted by Funmi
Iyanda, Founder of Change-A-Life, with Mr Dele Momodu, the Publisher of Ovation
International as the co-host.
This year, the
foundation will also recognize and acknowledge worthy organizations and
individuals for their contributions towards making a change in the society in
various areas of focus for the show.
Prominent and Life changing issues that occupied us in Nigeria during
2014 will be discussed by various stakeholders and organizations. In addition,
the Foundation will launch its social community – The CAL Community - to
provide a platform for sharing ideas about changing lives in the society. The
CAL Community is part of a new direction for the Foundation going forward in
the New Year.

network on Thursday January 1st 2015 at 9.00 -10.00 a.m.
Change-A-Life
Foundation (CAL) is a social service non-profit organization with the mission
to act as a bridge between people with human, community and leadership potential
yet great need and the individuals, agencies and organizations with the
capacity and willingness to meet these people’s needs. The organization’s
mandate is to identify the needs of people in our communities and channel our
resources towards fulfilling those needs. CAL’s primary focus is capacity
building. Our program delivery is channeled through educational scholarships,
business grants, young adult mentoring, adult and community education, women
empowerment, and civic engagement.
The foundation has
over the past 13 years of its existence impacted on over 5,000 lives directly
from all walks of life and over 50,000 indirectly through its programmes with a
mission to do more. It was founded by Ms Funmi Iyanda, Nigeria’s foremost TV
host and Media Entrepreneur.
