Ifeayin Dike needs yet another kidney

Months after the fall of the Actors Guild of Nigeria`s regime under Segun  Arinze and the subsequent botched Benin City elections, the dust over the events is yet to settle down. While there is no definite elected or appointed leadership, the AGN`s Board of Trustees has taken over the mantle of power. With the BOT`s Chairman on hospital admission in far away India, its Vice Chairman, Emma Oguagwu now holds sway. For now, Ifeanyi Dike, according to his VC is still bedridden  in India, “The kidney he got had problem. He is back in India for treatment. We need money for his treatment. You know dialysis cost a lot of money.” On reasons the BOT is holding on to power, Oguagwu  hinted, “Some members of the AGN brought non members to distraught the elections in Benin, to create problems. We are investigating to find out who were responsible for that. And they created crisis so that the elections will not take place. That is why the AGNEC chairman decided to suspend the elections and he is about to conduct another one. We now have a disciplinary committee that is looking at things. We cannot just mention names until all allegations are proven. Those accused will confront the disciplinary committee and those found guilty will be dealt with. The whole industry, including CONGA is involved in this issue. It is not just an AGN issue. This is so that such will never repeat itself again.” culled from e247

Mr Raw's Timboli mboli top chats

After the massive success of ‘Spiritual Konji’ which was released in 2010, Mr Raw formerly known as Nigga Raw is out with another banger. Titled Timboli bmoli, Mr Raw reveals the playful side of him. The song is an adaptation of a playground song that is popular in the east. In just two weeks of it’s release, it was made the Raypower song of the week, and also featured on the National MTN Top ten countdown.
Speaking about the song Mr Raw says; “Timbolimbloli is a playground song. I coined the name from the choruses that is sang while participating in the dance. Actually it is a one legged dance. You hold each other while only one feet is on the ground. That is what I repackaged and turned into a dance song, since the song is originally a dance song.” The song was produced by top notch producer, M.Josh, the same producer who did ‘Spiritual Konji’
When he switched his name to a Mr Raw there was a lot of questions being asked. In a chat he makes it clear the motives for the name change. “A lot of people were complaining that the Nigerian Guy Anakpo Raw (NiG.G.A) sounded so much like a swear word and a lot of presenters found it very difficult to update my fans because they were not allowed to use the word "nigga" on air. I also discovered that some online websites censor the "nigga Raw" and replace it with 'Raw'. I summed all this up and realized that that word "nigga" was already affecting my business and hard work. That's how I made up my mind to change my name from Nigga Raw to Mr Raw.

Broke Djinee, complains about the industry

Yes! You all know talented act Djinne for his R & B skills especially when he grabbed our attention with his first single “Ego”. Enjoy as Djinne tells it all to Hip on TV why his recent music materials sound more commercial than the others
“You wanna listen to Jazz but we don’t have jazz stations. The channels for propagating those elitist music are not there. You want me to play R&B, but we don’t have a strictly R&B station. Even brands don’t even lean towards R&B much. Show promoters really don’t set up for such. At the end of the day, music is a business, it’s commerce. Commerce is buying and selling. If you are not willing to buy what I have to sell, then I’ll not even have money to pay to make more music.”
 “But how would an artistes’ music be popular if the channel is not there? How would he make money. I’m not going to be local champion. I would make the music, make my money because that’s why I am in the business. Yes, I’m passionate about it, I wanna get paid, so that I can shoot videos… “ He said further.
And as regards his latest body of work “On Me” featuring Muna, this was what he had to say;
 “Muna works best on a whole lot of levels. I didn’t wanna use  guy because I didn’t feel a guy would have worked best on the song I was trying to put out. I’m up for collabos but Muna’s made sense at that point. But it has to make sense. “ (culled from Hip hop world newsletter)

LLcoolJ beats up thief in his house

Burglars take note: It's not a good idea to break into the home of someone who wrote the song "Mama Said Knock You Out."
Early Wednesday morning, LL Cool J busted a burglary suspect who had broken into his Los Angeles home. The actor-rapper, whose real name is James Todd Smith, discovered the man just before 1 a.m., when the alarm system in his Studio City residence was tripped. A scuffle ensued, but the "NCIS: Los Angeles" star — whose arms (and abs!) are legendary in Hollywood — took down the trespasser and detained him while one of his daughters called 911.
When officers arrived, they took the man — whose name has not been released — into custody. The suspect, who will be arrested on suspicion of burglary, had minor bruises.

He disclosed that he is in Nigeria solely to beg Goldie. “I have tried reaching her on phone but I am not getting through. I want to be back with her, please tell her through you medium that I want her back,” he said. At this moment, Denrele who had been chaperoning him around whisked him off. I am still suspicious of the guy. He is cool though.

Angered by the loss which she claimed was theft, the woman refused to feed Seubow for over four days. When the teenager couldn't take the hunger anymore, he sneaked out to buy gala one night. When Iya Anu found out, she accused him of stealing her N50 and beat him up, using a rod. She battered him for days until he gave the ghost on Sunday afternoon.
