Lola Alao has been silent for a while, this is due to the extensive work she is doing on her movie. In a chat with me the movie is set to premier. The beautiful Kogi born says she is set to premier her movie ‘Shikemi oluwa’ . She puts the date as May 6th. According to her, it is going to be the most classy Nollywood event ever as we are taking our time to give guests the best event apart from the fact that the movie is a great movie. For her its will be a double whammy, as she will also be simultaneously opening her new restaurant.

Lola Alao started out as an air hostess with the now defunct Okada Air, but caught the acting bug when Zeb Ejiro gave her a role in the popular soap opera, Ripples in the early 1990s. That formed the launch pad upon which Lola Alao moved to movies full time.
After Ripples was rested, she decided to pitch her tent with the Yoruba movie genre, and soon enough, she become a regular face in many Yoruba movies.
