Out of the 104,187 candidates that sat for English Language in the November/December Senior School Certificate Examinations of the National Examinations Council, only 10, 457 passed at credit level.This represents 9.44 per cent of the candidates who took this examination.
And it is not only English Language that was affected in the examinations that the management of NECO released its results on Wednesday.
Announcing the results, the Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of NECO, Prof. Promise Okpalla, said only mathematics and Arabic Studies had slight improvement when compared with the results for last year.
Out of 110,590 candidates who registered for Mathematics, 45,547 passed at credit level.
This represents 41.19 per cent.
