REAL REASON OSHIOMHOLE SACKS SPORTS COMMISSIONER.

Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole has sacked the state’s Commissioner for Youths, Sports and Social Mobilisation, Honourable Omorede Osifo. Hon. Osifo, who assumed headship of the youth, sports and Social Mobilisation ministry about 10 months ago, March 8, 2013 precisely, was relinquished after the governor felt disappointed about the failure of the floodlights at the Sam Ogbemudia stadium in the state.
The Problem according to an insider all started for Hon. Osifo when the state staged a Youth Summit and Concert that brought all the who is who in the entertainment industry to Benin City last Saturday. The Flood Lights which was installed by erstwhile Governor Lucky Igbinedion administration 12 years ago, failed on the day of the concert.

“The governor was not happy when he finds out that the flood light did not come on, and considering the amount of money budgeted for the youth summit, we gathered that #75million was provided to the committee headed by the Chief of staff to the Governor, Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon. The commissioner for youth,sports and social mobilisation was not part of the committee, he decided to take an immediate action ” our source told us.
We reliably gathered that Hon. Osifo, who was suppose to be in charge of the Youth Summit as the commissioner for youth, sport and Social Mobilisation, did not even know about it until few days to the event, some other people had colluded together and sideline the female politician from being in charge of her duties based on their envy of her rising profile.
Another inside source who was privy of information told us that, the beef by some key members of the governor's cabinet was a major reason why she has been sacked indefinitely by a governor she respect with so much fanatical totality. The source maintained that what Hon. Osifo did on a normal day wouldn’t have led to a sack or instant replacement but the reverse was the case, as the governor already replaced her.
We also gathered in very good authority that the whole problem for Hon Osifo all started from the Chief of staff, Hon Patrick Obahiagbon. Information further revealed that both of them are from the same local government in Edo State, Oredo local government area where Hon Osifo is even more popular than Obahiagbon.
Both of them even contested for the House of representative seat in 2011 representing the same localities, this we further gathered had constituted the ostentatious English speaking Obahiagbon to create a beef for Hon. Osifo, and had vowed to make sure the Harvard trained female politician leaves the sit of the commissioner before her term is complete.
Our further investigation even revealed that for this position to be maintained, Hon. Obahiagbon was obviously noticed to have been blocking the female politician ever since the campaign for the second tenure of the Comrade Governor, as he will always try to stop her from talking at the campaign ground and even climbing the podium. All of this we gathered are unknown to the Comrade Governor who is always very just in his judgment.
Some quarters also claimed that the reason why the governor sent her packing was because she had left the venue of the Youth Summit before the event came to an end, but we reliably gathered that it was Hon. Obahiagbon that went to whisper into her ears during the show that the governor asked her to leave the venue because her major assignment was to go and put the stadium in order, but our very dependable source close to the Governor admitted that he (Obahiagbon) acted on his own in order to deceive the female politician.
A close source who further admitted that a beef existed between the two, and that Obahiagbon was not happy that Oba was going to give Hon. Omorede Osifo a Royal bead despite the fact he believes he deserved one. Fortunately for Osifo that same Monday evening she was sent packing from the Edo state Government, she was presented a Royal bead that doesn’t just go to anybody regardless of your political office position, except that you deserve it. This now made the youths to conclude that it wasn’t the flood light that was only responsible for her sudden removal from office. It was the beef that have already existed among some key and certain members of the Government.
Before her sack, she was relatively been turned into a figure head commissioner as Bendel Insurance football club was taken from her and handed to a committee headed by the SSG and involving a top sport marketer from the same area with the governor, who was recently made an honorary adviser on sport to the Governor.
Confirming her sack, we sent a text message to the commissioner for information and orientation, Mr. Louis Odion who said; “He removed her, the comrade Governor reserves the right to appoint and remove in line with his vision”.
