The Lagos Carnival is the high point of the week long activities of the Lagos Heritage Week. The carnival is the reincarnation of the Fanti Carnival which died off after Lasos State Govt decided to have their own carnival. The theme for this year’s celebration is “Eko 4 show” (Sure)The carnival parade began at Falomo, ikoyi and culminate in a spectacle in Tafawa Balewa Square.
This year’s edition had about 12000 adults and young people beautifully costumed parading the streets of Ikoyi and Lagos Island with a grand parade at the TBS.
