Online picture sharing platform, Instagram has deleted the account of controversial 'born again' Nigerian female artiste, Maheeda for violating one of its rules.  The supposedly gospel singer has been using the platform lately to post some unclad pictures of herself, which the social networking website frowns at. 
Due to her incessant posting of such x-rated materials on its platform, her account was deleted. 
Subsequently, the singer has gone ahead to open another account on the same platform with another ID.

Man drugs wife for 3 days marathon sex

A nursing mother, Mrs Glory Ojuala, has narrated how her husband, Alex Ojuala, drugged her for three days in order to have sex with her a few days after she was delivered of a baby at her matrimonial home in Lagos State, western Nigeria.
The mother of three children made the shocking revelation at Ejigbo Customary Court in Lagos State on Monday while testifying before the court following a petition she filed before the court for dissolution of their 15-year marriage.
The 30-year old housewife claimed that two days after she gave birth to their child, her husband started pestering her for sex in the presence of her mother, who was on a visit.

Actress sues AIT for N5m

Nollywood actress and producer, Queen Temitope Oluwa has instituted a legal suit against the Raymond Dokpesi owned Africa Independent Television, AIT, over the airing of one of her movie, ‘Atupa Emi’.

The actress who became popular in the movie, ‘Saratu’ filed a legal case with the help of her attorney, M.A Bashua & Co. suing the television company to the tune of N5million.

When contacted, Temitope said, “I don’t have much to say but I have instituted a legal case against AIT over an infringement on my rights as a citizen and as the copyright owner of ‘Atupa Emi’, which is illegally been aired on their medium.”

In a letter served to the management of AIT, Temitope is demanding the whopping sum of money as a fee for breaching of her intellectual property rights to the flick, Atupa Emi.

I do not bleach – actress Salma Munim

Ghanaianan actress Salma Munim has dispelled rumours making the rounds that she has started bleaching to catch the attention of producers to earn her lead roles in movies. This because there is the perception that light skinned actors sell more making them the preferred choice of producers for leading roles, regardless of their acting capabilities.

As a result of this, some dark skinned actors and actresses have been rumoured to have resorted to bleaching to be cast in such roles too. When reached on Facebook, the actress dispelled stories that she is also bleaching heavily. “I will not bleach and I have not bleached. I am confident with my body and skin tone and I like the way I look,” she replied.

The 25 year old actress made it clear that she is against bleaching because she is fully aware of the health hazards that it leaves in its trail. 'I admit being light skinned is nice because it gives you some confidence but bleaching is not good because of the damage it causes the skin. Moreover I don't need to be light skinned to get roles. I know my capabilities and movie makers I have worked with can attest to that' she said.'

The car was tampered with by the men of the antagonist of the drama, Masters. It has been common knowledge for some time that actor will be leaving the show. He had announced his exit weeks earlier. For you those who did not believe him well there you have it, Kwame is dead.

Obafemi Akinwunmi Martins, the ace footballer of Nigeria’s Super eagles, has welcomed his third child from his third baby mama. Abigail Barwuah, the older sister of Italian footballer Mario Balotelli gave birth to a baby boy on Wednesday October 16th in Italy.

Abigail, 25 year old who has been dating Obafemi since 2012, lost the first pregnancy we all reported last year. She was about four months pregnant when she was in Nigeria with Obafemi in December 2012 but lost the baby and got pregnant again almost immediately.

The never-before-married Obafemi has a son with an African chick he dated in Italy many years ago, he also has a 3 and a half year old son with a white chick he dated while playing in the UK and now a son with Abigail. Father of all nation. Hehe. Congrats to Abigail and Obafemi!

Why I am into humanitarian work – Tosin Allen

 

Tosin Allen is an entertainment promoter, events manager and movie producer. After moving to Abuja from Lagos, she focused more on humanitarian works. She set up the Audrey Allen foundation and today, even the presidency has taken note and endorsed her work. In a chat with Lukmon Akintola, she talks about her passion for orphans, physically challenged and vulnerable children in the society.

The independence day just passed, what were the things your foundation do?

 We visited some orphanages in and around Abuja and we gave our love to the children there. We tried to make them happy and enjoy the independence day like all of us. God has been really kind, we got a lot of new clothes from shop owners around Abuja and we distributed to kids in various homes

What is new with your foundation?

We are planning a fund raiser mid next year

What are you raising funds for?

 We just got a landed property somewhere outside Abuja and we are hoping to develop a children's hospital, school and a home for displaced children That is a big project, who and who are you reaching out to for the fund raising Everyone. Corporate organizations, government parastatals, financial institutions, private business owners the press and anyone who believe in what we do.

Africa Desperate Housewife to hit Ebony Life

Barring all unforeseen hitches, popular TV drama series, Desperate Housewives would make its debut on Mo Abudu’s EbonyLife TV with a wholly African cast. 

Disney Media Distribution disclosed plans to produce the African version of the popular series in conjunction with EbonyLife TV.

To be filmed in Lagos, Nigeria with actors from across Africa, producers have also disclosed that the production will strictly follow the format and storylines of the original US version, but with a touch of the Nigerian element.

Giovanni Mastrangelo, General manager, Disney Media Distribution, Emerging Markets, stressed that the purpose for bringing Desperate Housewives to Africa is ‘to engage African audiences through locally relevant and entertaining storytelling.’

Nollywood star, Monalisa Chinda has revealed plans to launch her debut magazine, Monalisa in Nigeria and Ghana before the year runs out.

Weeks after an outburst from the ex-editor of the magazine, which is published with assistance from Monalisa’s lover, Lanre Nzeribe, the Catwalq star hinted the Ghanaian public her plans to launch the magazine in the first week of November in Nigeria and Ghana in December.

As Gulder Ultimate Search 10 reaches mid-way, the hammer of eviction has fallen on three of the 12 contenders. Mary Adeboye, one of Gulder Ultimate Search 10’s identical twins, was evicted in the Octave Puzzle challenge. She was a member of the Swords tribe. 
The other two contenders that have fallen by the wayside are: Peter Ijeh and Ema Etido Ebong, both members of the Spears tribe.
While Peter lost out in the Log and Riddle Task, Ema was identified as the weakest link in the Spears tribe during the Cart Race challenge.  
Mary’s eviction occasioned by her poor performance in the Octave challenge and she had to battle Ifunanya Onike Michelle of the Spears in the eviction challenge. Ifunanya, who has proven her mettle as a leading contender for the Gulder Ultimate Search crown, beat Mary, hence her elimination. However, while the contest between Mary and Ifunaya lasted, Martha, Mary’s sister was visibly torn between supporting her sister and Ifunaya, her tribe member. 
Mary said being the first evictee of the Swords tribe hurt, but she added she was glad her sister was still in contention for the Gulder Ultimate Search 10 crown. She remarked: “I’m happy and excited that my sister (Martha) is still in the game. I’m not feeling bad that she is still in and I’m out because at the end of the day one of us will still have to leave for the other to stay.”

Ghana act throws diss at Wizkid

One of 4×4′s new songs on their new album titled ’4Word’, talks about Ghanaian DJs playing too much of foreign music instead of promoting Ghanaian musicians. Captain Planet, a member of the group dropped a line that mentioned Nigerian sensation, Wizkid.

The group who recently featured on Dj Jimmy Jatt’s song also featuring Iyanyawent on the track titled ‘Tonight’ and said; “I pay enter with my kid schools fees… I want hear my song u dey play wizkid …so change n play me ‘u go kill me’ else you go chop some slaps wey you go feel me”

It is unclear if he bares any grudges with Wizkid or any Nigerian artiste.

Fashola gives pa kasumu lifeline

he Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, has taken it upon himself to save ailing Nigerian actor, Kayode Dosumu, popularly known as Pa Kasunmu. The governor, as confirmed to Aproko247 by a close family source of the actor, when contacted, confirmed to us that the governor has reached the actor and will now foot his total medical bill. The movie icon had cried to the general public to help him raise N12 million to enable him undergo a medical treatment to correct his kidney and liver ailments. Recall that in 2012, Governor Fashola paid about N4.5 million for the medical surgery of another actor in Nollywood, Ngozi Nwosu. Fashola is presently in the United States of America, USA.

Man kills and eats daughter

A Papua New Guinea man described as a vampire has been arrested after allegedly murdering his young daughter by biting her neck, eating her flesh and drinking her blood, a report said today.The grisly incident occurred on Wednesday at a settlement near Lae and was called by the police as “an act of cannibalism”.According to Papua New Guinea’s POST COURIER, the local councilor John Kenny, who was one of the first on the scene, said the three-year-old child and her mother were visiting the father when he grabbed the girl and ran off into nearby bushes.Kenny said the man allegedly held the toddler close to him, bit deep into her neck, ate the flesh and sucked her blood.Two boys who were climbing a coconut tree nearby saw him and ran quickly to raise the alarm.“He was just laughing at the boys and continued eating the flesh and sucking the blood,” Kenny told the newspaper.When people arrived to investigate the man reportedly dumped the body in the bushes and ran away before being caught and turned over to police.Papua New Guinea is a sprawling nation where black magic, sorcery and cannibalism sometimes occur.

PDP asks rebel govs to come back to fold

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday urged members of the breakaway faction of the party to end their self-imposed exclusion in the interest of peace.In a statement issued in Abuja the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Olisa Metuh, urged the members, who recently suffered a setback in their attempt to get official backing from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to return to the party’s fold.The aggrieved members had staged a walk out from the party’s Special National Convention on Aug. 31 with the backing of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.The members, who include the governors of Niger, Kano, Rivers, Sokoto, Kwara, Adamawa and Jigawa states, appointed fresh officers to run the affairs of the party and later filed a case against the party`s leadership under Alhaji Bamanga Tukur.The aggrieved members had to INEC urging it not to recognise the Bamanga Tukur-led PDP, but the commission turned down the request.Friday’s statement called on the aggrieved members ‘to come back home now’ since INEC had recognised the Alhaji Bamanga Tukur-led executive as the authentic national executive of the party.The statement read in part: “The party has been kind enough to extend an olive branch to the members, they should therefore behave like a prodigal son and return to the family.“The position of INEC affirming Alhaji Bamanga Tukur as the National Chairmanship has laid to rest all issues regarding the party`s leadership.“And rejecting the demand for recognition by the aggrieved members has finally nailed the agitation of Alhaji Abubakar Baraje, who has been parading himself as the chairman of the aggrieved members,” it said.

Prize Katy Perry will perform her new single “Unconditionally” live at the “2013 MTV EMA”, the world’s biggest night in music!  MTV has also announced the world’s most famous anchorman Ron Burgundy will be on hand as a special guest, reporting from various city landmarks throughout the show. Katy Perry said: "I'm so excited to return to the EMA stage!  I have tailor-made a performance of a brand new song from PRISM to share with fans from around the world on November 10." Three-time EMA winner Perry is no stranger to the EMA stage, having hosted in 2008 and 2009, performed in 2008, 2009 and 2010, and presented in 2011. Perry'shighly anticipated upcoming new album entitled PRISM will be released on October 22nd and features the global hit lead single “Roar,” which has topped the charts around the globe and continues to break records worldwide. Anchorman Ron Burgundy – who hosted the “2013 EMA Nomination Special” last month – will bring his unique reporting style to Amsterdam, providing updates throughout the show. Justin Timberlake and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis lead the “2013 MTV EMA” nominations with five nods each, while Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke are each up for four awards. Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Green Day, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Daft Punk, Rudimental, Icona Pop and One Direction are each nominated for three awards. Artists with two EMA nods include Rihanna, Katy Perry, Eminem, Jay Z, Bastille, Imagine Dragons, The Killers, Paramore, Rita Ora, Drake, Afrojack, Avicii, Calvin Harris and Iggy Azalea. African artists nominated in the Best African Act category include.LCNVL (South Africa), Mafikizolo (South Africa), P-Square (Nigeria), Wizkid (Nigeria) and Fuse ODG (Ghana).

Stella Damasus' bf ropes in gov Uduagan in new campaign

Filmmaker, Daniel Ademinokan is currently leading several stars in a new Delta State sponsored campaign tagged Delta Pikin.

The actor has been at the forefront of the campaign which also has Stella Damasus, Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan and Richard Mofe Damijo on board.

According to sources, the project has drawn the Delta State governor’s attention to Daniel and Stella’s creativity.

Daniel recently shared some of the endorsement pictures of movie stars and the governor endorsing the state.

It should be noted that Delta State is hosting the 2013 edition of the Best Of Nollywood Awards in November.
