2FACE, PRAIZ,OTHERS CELEBRATE AT HENNESSY ARTISTRY FINALE


The Hennessy Artistry finale will definitely go down as one of the biggest parties of 2013! The quality of people, the set up and content of the show and the lighting were mind-blowing!

A-list celebrities from different genres in the entertainment industry and beyond came together on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the Federal Palace Hotel in VI, Lagos to celebrate the grand finale of 2013’s biggest project, Hennessy Artistry which had the hottest names in the music industry.

This year’s supporting acts thrilled fans with their biggest hit tracks making guests scream with excitement as they sang along with the performers.

Starting out with a lush cocktail session and warm welcome by UK rap duo, Show Dem Camp, guests were treated to some of the greatest performances ever seen by artistes together on one stage.

The lineup of artistes included Sheyi Shay, Vector, Chidinma, Phyno, Pucado, Show Dem Camp (SDC) & Rapper Poe, and Key Switch.

The event pulled out a line of surprise performances during the finale with May D, Wande Coal, Naeto C, Burna Boy and 2Face Idibia. Guests were kept on the edge of seats as each performer only left them screaming for more while eagerly anticipating Hennessy Artistry 2013's headliner, Dbanj.

“I’m grateful to everyone who came out to support this campaign… Hennessy Artistry is all about music and putting up and coming acts into the spotlight and this year, not only have we been able to achieve that, we have also been able to connect with music lovers around Nigeria. This finale is our own special way of saying thank you to everyone who has helped in making this year’s campaign a successful one.” Brand manager, Hennessy Cognac, LereAwokoya said during the show.

The Kokomaster, Dbanj who was the last performer for the night drove guests wild as he mingled with guests taking them down memory lane with monster tracks like Tongolo, Why me, Suddenly, Oyatoamong other tracks. He also brought former Nigerian BBA representative, Beverly Osu on stage to perform a hilarious rendition of the hit song off the DKM album, Finally. International R&B artiste, J Sol and Dbanj’s brother and DKM signee, Kay Switch also came on stage to support Dbanj during his performance.

“The Hennessy Artistry project has been a long and successful experience for me… at the beginning of the campaign, I promised that this year will be different from past Artistry projects and from all indications, from the supporting acts to the club tours and Cognac trip… this year’s project has definitely made a difference and I’m glad I was a part of this campaign.” Dbanj said after his performance.

DJ Humility, DJ Xclusive and DJ Neptune later took over the show with the one-of-a-kind DJ Session where all three of them blended their skills together to activate the after party which took place on sight. The stage, which had overarching 3D mappings and radiating special effects, took the party to another level as they dished out some of the best music mixes.

Guests at the event include Chris Ubosi, Olisa Adibua, Tonto Dike, Praiz, Temi Dolface, Toolz, Toke Makinwa, Tunde Ednut, Dotun Cool FM, Fade, Omowunmi Akinnifesi, Beverly Osu, Bassey of Big Brother Africa, Karen Igho, Wana Udobang,, Gbemi Olagbegi, Tajudeen Adepetu SoundCity CEO among others.
