The registration for the 10th edition of Gulder Ultimate Search, Nigeria’s first 100 per cent local content reality TV show will end on Friday, August 23. The registration exercise commenced on Wednesday, July 17.
Only Nigerians aged 21 – 30 years can participate in the reality TV show. This year’s edition is themed the 10th Symbol, in commemoration of the 10 anniversary of Gulder Ultimate Search. Gulder Ultimate Search was first staged at the Lagos Island in 2004.
The reality TV show involves contestants braving it out in the forest, surmounting all challenges and performing tasks excellently, either individually or as a team, in order to win the ‘Ultimate prize’. Potential contestants would be put through rigorous training during the selection stages, and only the successful candidates would make it into the jungle to face even more daunting challenges.

Speaking on the registration process, Emmanuel Agu, Marketing Manager – Gulder, Legend and Life, Nigerian Breweries Plc. said: “Registration is free, and interested individuals still have till Friday, August 23, to register to participate. Application forms are available on www.gulderultimatesearch.tv and www.facebook.com/GulderNigeria.”
He further stated his optimism that a large number of Nigerians would register to participate this year. Mr. Agu noted: “In 2012, over 30,000 individuals registered to participate in Gulder Ultimate Search 9. This represented the highest number of individuals that have indicated their interest to participate in Gulder Ultimate Search since the programme commenced in 2004. In 2011, more than 26,000 individuals registered to participate. The large number of Nigerians that have indicated interest in participating is evidence of the popularity of the programme.”
The next phase of Gulder Ultimate Search after the registration period elapses is the regional selection phase. The screening of applicants will be held in Owerri, Benin and Lagos.
This year’s edition of Gulder Ultimate Search will be held in Usaka, Obot Akara local government, Akwa Ibom State.
