death scare rumours, Lere Paimo says he's alive

Chief Lere Paimo (MFR), the Acting Chairman, Incorporated Trustees of Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP) on Tuesday addressed a press conference at the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo state (BCOS) Ile-Akede, Bashorun, Ibadan, Oyo state, to dispel the rumour on that he is dead, thus, impressing it that it was the handiwork of the bad, desperados and disgryuntled elements in the industry (like Jide Kosoko, Dele Odule among others).
Chief Lere Paimo added that for the avoidance of doubt and in order to put the record straight, it is crystal clear that this dastardly act has come from the agents of the devil who have “constituted themselves into dissidents, cabal and cultists.”
(more after the cut)

He also spoke about the problems of the association blaming them on actors Jide Kosoko, and Dele Odule. Chief Lere Paimo said in his speech, “The elders mean nothing to them, the constituted authority means nothing to them and they are never afraid of running foul of the law anywhere, at anytime, simply because they are our famous stars, forgetting the valuable proverbs of our fathers “Laala to roke ile lo mbo”(Pride comes before a fall).
“Enough is enough for the detractors who are ready to suck blood and take lives, if possible, just in order to perpetuate themselves in office, hence, we have now decided to break our silence and we shall continue to update the press and the general public about the diabolical adventures of unscruptulous elements within the rank and file of ANTP,” Paimo said.
The press conference was attended by top shots in the Yoruba movie industry including; Chief Jimoh Aliu (MFR), former ANTP President, Elder Oyewole Olowomojuore, Elder Kareem Adepoju (Baba Wande), Elder Elemo, Adewale Eleso (Afin), Sheu Yisa Olorunoje, amongst others.

The factional President of  ANTP, Comrade Dr. Victor Ashaolu added his voice to the lingering crisis saying that the law will soon catch up with the bad elements who are milking the association dry.
