Lebanese led robbery gang nabbed in Lagos
A Lebanese, who is suspected to be the leader of an armed robbery gang, is in the net of the police in Lagos.
The Lebanese is said to be assisting the police with investigation into the stabbing to death of one Aliyu Sanni.
The case is being handled by the Lagos State Anti-robbery Squad, Ikeja.
The arrest of the Lebanese followed a robbery attack at Liverpool area, Apapa on Monday.
The Lebanese, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, allegedly led his gang to rob a Bureau De Change operator, whom they lured to an hotel in Apapa.
They were alleged to have stolen $10,000 from the victim before stabbing him to death.
The Lebanese and two other suspects were arrested by policemen attached to the Apapa Police Division on Monday.
The case was later transferred to SARS on Tuesday for further investigation.
The state police command's spokesperson, Joseph Jaiyeoba, confirmed the incident.
